Penn Wharton Budget Model is a nonpartisan, research-based initiative that provides accurate, accessible and transparent economic analysis of public policy’s fiscal impact.- Summer 2019: Led a team to develop an interactive dashboard for economic time-series data using Python and Plotly Dash library- Summer 2019: Investigated immigration data from the Current Population Survey (CPS) data with economists at PWBM to analyze effects of Social Security policy on immigration- Fall 2019 - Present: Implemented matching algorithms to merge American social survey data using Optimal Transport statistical matching, working with economists at PWBM and the IMF.

Conducted weekly educational sessions on quantitative finance topics e.g. market regime detection using Hidden Markov Models, Fama-French Factor Models. Completed semester-long quantitative analyses on Hong Kong’s residential market (using Vector Auto-regression) and Chinese equity returns (factor modelling).

Investigated ageing and productivity dynamics across occupations and countries by employing cross-sectional and panel regressions using R and Python; Conducted literature review on economic research on ageing and individual-level productivity

The Daily Pennsylvanian is the award-winning independent daily student newspaper of the University of Pennsylvania, with a yearly readership of more than 200 thousand.- Implemented article recommendation algorithm on the DP website using Natural Language Processing and Collaborative Filtering - Streamlined the data analysis pipeline of DP readership data, using Google Analytics API and Amazon AWS databases- Conducted time-series analysis on newspaper readership and created machine learning model to predict future readership; ideas will be implemented in editorial decisions

Completed the 27/17 Reconnaissance Commander Course, involving 32km route marches carrying up to 30kg field packs, navigation exercises and outfield training missions. Graduated as a 3rd Sergeant from Specialist Cadet School. Served as Team commander in the 48th Battalion Singapore Armour Regiment's Reconnaissance Platoon.
