I graduated with my Master of Nursing from Emory University in December 2022 and received a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from University of California, San Diego.Before pursuing a degree in nursing, I worked in diabetes and aging research at the VA in San Diego. In this position, I helped build two studies from the ground up with her principal investigators, from budgets, recruitment, assessments, data collection, MRIs, conferences, and in a supervisory capacity to new staff and volunteers. With the wide range of duties, I had to be a master of wearing many hats and i hopes to use these abilities to multitask and creative problem solving as a nurse, where i may be thrown from a normal labor to an stat C-section.My nursing philosophy strives to put the patient first and see them in the context of their whole life. Each person comes with their own set of beliefs and experiences and they should be incorporated to provide the best care possible for that patient. I believe nursing requires a lot of patience and compassion, which I have plenty to give my patients.
