I'm Isabel, a dedicated professional pursuing a degree in Accounting with a minor in Spanish at the John M. Huntsman School of Business. As a Corporate Accoutning Intern, I manage monthly reconciliations for 10 accounts on the balance sheet team, create organized systems for tracking transactions using Google Sheets, and assist with correcting journal entries, enhancing my financial accuracy and analytical skills. Additionally, my work experience at Tom Gibbons CPA in Smithfield, UT, has equipped me with strong organizational skills, financial data management experience, and effective professional communication. As a part-time Receptionist, I handle filing, document organization, phone correspondence, and scheduling for local businesses. In addition to my professional endeavors, I'm actively involved in community service. As a group lead for a leadership project, I successfully led a team in executing a service project for a local family, showcasing effective leadership strategies. As well as applying my organizational skills in a Senior Project for the theater department, I led a team in creating and maintaining an efficient system for the costume collection. I also learned how to communicate better to build effective teamwork. I am currently a club officer for the Days for Girls chapter at Utah State University. This is an international organization where each week we host activities that help prevent period poverty around the world.My global experience includes a full-time volunteer position in Queretaro, Mexico, with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In this role, I engaged with diverse communities, taught life skills, and developed a strong work ethic by working diligently to meet specific community service goals. I continued to build my Spanish communication and translation skills. As a hobby, I do nails, I've provided manicure services, ensuring high-quality standards and learning new nail methods. I have been able to showcase my creative side on the weekends.
