About Isabel Ribeiro
Experienced agricultural engineer, with a post graduation in agricultural economics and another in environment and development studies, for the past 17 years I have worked in numerous projects in the areas of agriculture and sustainable development. My career has been developed in European and African context. By working in these contexts at several levels, I have developed a unique set of skills. I implemented practical approaches to problems that were result-oriented, for great satisfaction of the clients. As a project manager, I have developed work and budget plans for complex projects with simultaneous activities and, many times, carried projects' monitoring and evaluation. In addition, I am experienced in agricultural policy analysis and evaluations. As a deputy to the Portuguese government, I have made use of my technical and communication skills while liaising with various organizations (public, private, producers' associations, science and technology institutions, civil society organizations) at different levels (international, national, regional, local), with great outcomes.Throughout the years, I have developed good ability to work independently. Nonetheless, I appreciate being a team member, as I foster good relationships with colleagues that, generally, improve the team's work. More recently, my experience in the area of food and nutritional security and its linkages with more sustainable agrifood systems, inspire me to make my career evolve towards this area and in an international context.
Listed skills include Rural Development, International Development, Sustainability, Environmental Awareness, and 25 others.
