Profile bio

About Isabella Killius

In September 2023, I concluded my postgraduate study at the University of Manchester in Manchester, United Kingdom, where I obtained a Master of Science in Environmental Governance. I conducted my dissertation research on the interplay of labor unions and energy transitions at the municipal scale, interviewing energy workers in Hamburg, Germany on their perceptions of how labor stakeholders may be involved in just energy transitions. I am now a Communications Fellow with the National Wildlife Federation, where I am supporting the organization's role as a central partner in the Climate Equity Collaborative. I am a motivated and team-oriented individual with nearly four years of deep organizing, media relations, and climate campaigning experience. I am especially passionate about energy democracy, public power, and deep organizing in broader social transitions away from polluting industries.
