Current- Confirmation or identification of antibodies found during pre-transfusion testing and donor testing.- Confirmation and monitoring the levels of antibodies found during antenatal testing.- Resolution of complex antibody problems in patients with multiple antibodies or autoantibodies.- Identification of rare antibodies and resolution of blood grouping problems.- Provision of medical and scientific advice.- 24/7 service provider as part of an on call team.- Preparation of the National Immunohaematology Quality Assurance Program (NIQAP).- Familiar and experience in eProgesa, eTraceline, and Qpulse systems.- Manufacturing of reagent cells such as Weak D control cell and Alloadsorption cells include proper thawing, washing, and treatment of cells.- Red cell genotyping when phenotyping isn't available or possible.- Monocyte Monolayer Assay to predict if incompatible blood can be safely transfused where antigen negative blood is in limited supply or unavailable.- Coaching new staff members and BMLS students.
