I worked as a physician in Malmska Hospital, Jakobstad, for 6 months directly following my graduation from medical school. In a hospital this small and far away from most other places, you learn on the go and utilize the resources at your disposal. Here I mostly worked in the emergency out-patient clinic and the primary health care center. I also served in the in-patient ward, mainly with internal medicine and palliative patients.

My blog was geared towards prospective and current students at Karolinska Instituet and everyone interested in Medicine. Primary healthcare givers in a small town get to meet, consult and treat a wide range of patients. During my time as physician in Ekenäs primary care I examined and diagnosed everything from infectious diseases, psychiatric conditions and reproductive issues. It was a big responsibility and I learned a lot.

In relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, I began working for a hospital in Region Stockholm as a temp. I have been needed in both somatic and psychiatric wards, taking on the role of a certified nursing assistant (undersköterska) and psychiatric aide (skötare) alternatingly. In this job, I have gotten well-acquainted with both psychiatric and somatic care.

Beginning summer 2018, I have been given the honor of heading Medicor Magazine, the official student magazine of Medicinska Föreningen, published entirely in English. I began working on Medicor as proofreader and graphic designer, eventually advancing to writing my own pieces and doing photography. Since September 2017 I have been Editor; first in charge of the Campus section, which meant article planning, recruiting content creators and providing feedback. In the beginning of 2018, I served as Associate Editor and as of summer 2018, I am now the Editor-in-Chief of Medicor Magazine. This means that I am in charge of running the entire editor's team and responsible for the final product.

Since my role was a relatively new one at Klarna, I took the initiative to develop manuals and guidelines for Talent Acquisition Coordinators to come. Additionally, I called and talked to the references for our most interesting candidates.Working for Klarna gave me a unique insight into the recruitment process and the world of FinTech. I got to practice my organizational, communicative and problem-solving skills.
