I work as the subject matter expert on labor market and demographic information, aggregating data from multiple sources, including the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the U.S. Census Bureau. I use data to inform stakeholders, state and local officials, and the public about the direction of the local economy and how we can best serve the citizens of Kern County, where unemployment is high relative to the rest of California and the federal funds we administer are vital. In this role, I also assist other analysts with requests for information.

Received store shipments and unloaded pallets, organizing new products and ensuring the delivery was correct and all items accounted for.Provided guidance and customer service to customers new or unfamiliar to the WIC program and food stamps, educating them about their grocery options and how the voucher system worked.

Developed a practice rotation strategy that allowed every student athlete the opportunity to get hitting and fielding repetitions and maximize practice time over the course of a week.Communicated with the athletics secretary and Head Coach of the baseball program to ensure student athletes attended class and were accounted for. I attended congressional hearings and wrote reports and policy summaries for legislative staff for discussion with a member of congress. I also communicated with constituents and answered policy questions and coordinated with legislative assistants and other interns on voting records projects.
