As the senior most local officer of the section, played a leading role in managing the mission’s public diplomacy, political economy analysis and project management activities.Responsibilities also included advising the High Commissioner and Deputy High Commissioner on political and governance trends in the country; researching, analyzing and preparing reports and cables on current issues of interest in Canberra; building and maintaining contacts with government, political parties, private sector, civil society and donor community; maintaining political and economic records, including databases; designing and implementing media strategy for effective public diplomacy and cultural promotion, including maintaining relationship with media contacts; drafting and preparing speeches, correspondences and press releases; representing the mission in meetings with stakeholders.

Responsibilities included designing, implementing and managing communications strategies of DFID Health and Gender programs and FCO Consular Forced Marriage Unit in Bangladesh, including developing communications and promotional material; producing monthly newsletter for internal communication, highlighting DFID/FCO activities; researching, analyzing and preparing reports on gender and health, including media monitoring; organizing public diplomacy and internal communication events; maintaining liaison with external agencies and, arranging visits by experts and consultant.
