My debut memoir Promenade of Desire—A Barcelona Memoir came out October 2022 (She Writes Press). It has won a Silver Medal for the European region from the Independent Publisher Press Awards, and been honored as a finalist in the Multicultural Nonfiction category by the Best Book Awards 2022 and Firebird Book Awards.My essays have been published in literary journals like Diálogo, Chicago Quarterly Review, The Penmen Review, Newfound, The Manifest-Station and Front Porch Journal. My piece “My Books and I” was listed as Notable in the Best American Essays Anthology (2019). My work has also appeared in widely read online publications like The Huffington Post, Wisdom Well, WIRED, and Better After Fifty.

Managed BabyCenter en Español, which she launched in 2007, BabyCenter Brazil and BabyCenter Canada. The three sites are market leaders in the parenting space. Developed and guided editors in creating localized content and innovative products that served their audiences.

Set up strategy for BabyCenter Hispanic blog. Recruited and managed team of 30 bilingual bloggers residing in the US, and various Latin American countries, who write about the experience of being a mom, and provide expert advice on beauty, decoration, relationships, kids activities and more. In 3 years the Blog de BabyCenter reached over 1.4 million UVs.

Launched babycenter.com/espanol and managed a team of writers, editors and medical advisers to create remarkably right content for Hispanics in the US and Latin America. Took it from 0 to over 12MM monthly UVs.Hired, trained, and supervised editors of BabyCenter Spain and BabyCenter Mexico.

Adapted pieces from New Parent magazine to make them culturally and content-relevant for US Hispanics, commissioned new content to Hispanic journalists, edited all content, created audience survey, advised advertisers on content and style issues.

Wrote over 600 hundred articles for a syndicated radio program conducted by awarded journalist Jorge Ramos.

Graduate Student Instructor and Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley. Courses included Spanish, Catalan, Creative Writing in Spanish, Composition Writing in Spanish, Spanish Contemporary Literature (XVIII to present), Spanish Women Fiction and Movies, and Spanish Culture. Created course curriculum for all Literature and writing classes. Consistent outstanding students evaluations. Received 2 Teaching Awards: Graduate Student Instructor Award and Teaching Effectiveness Award.

Editor of "Avanzando con tu familia", a custom magazine sponsored by Procter and Gamble (5 million distribution). Planned editorial content, assigned and edited all articles, copy edited, copy fitting. Topics included Health, Education, Home, and Hispanic Traditions.

Editor of Parenting Bebé, La Salud de tu Bebé and Nutrición Esencial, among other publications. Translated English copy, localizing it to be culturally appropriate for a Hispanic audience.

Freelanced for some of the most prestigious publishing houses in Spain. Among other tasks, provided literary criticism and publishing recommendations to Seix Barral and Planeta, translated 15 books from French and English into Spanish, and managed a PR campaign to launch a novel for Muchnik Editores that created its first best seller ever.
