Since graduating college with a Bachelors of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice while Minoring in Youth and Family Studies I discovered a passion to work for and with youth and families from diverse backgrounds in order to help them succeed in whatever area they may need support. My background involves primarily giving care to youth of all ages in childcare setting and in a residential facility. I believe in investing time and energy in our youth, especially those who come from hardship whether that be poverty, personal/familial substance abuse, history of trauma/neglect and more unfortunate circumstances. One of the best things we can do in order to better our society is to do what we can during times of early intervention, providing support, resources, skills and knowledge to youth who would otherwise have difficulty accessing those things on their own.
