Responsibilities:As the Manager of Cost & Quantity Surveying Department, under the umbrella of PMO, I’m responsible for providing the variety of technical, financial and contractual documents during the design phases of different types of projects, including:- Department Management* Participating in the projects’ management, starting from preparing the proposal, assigning specialists, sub-consultants, define scope and estimating level of efforts. * Directing all internal operations of the department, including scheduling, resource allocation and assigning tasks ensuring alignment with clients’ requirements. * Preparing progress reports, projects log, lessons learned reports, development plans and PMO-related activities.- Methods of Measurement & Bills of Quantities: * Quantifying Arch., Civil and MEP works. * Providing Method of Measurements in accordance with International Standards (POMI, NRM and customized formats). * Preparing Itemized and Detailed Bill of Quantities, according to CSI Master-Format titles and numbering system. * Preparing Preambles, general requirements and preliminaries parts to the Bills of Quantities.- Cost Management* Developing realistic budget estimations during pre-concept and feasibility studies of the projects.* Conducting estimated construction cost studies.* Providing priced BOQ packages for tendering purposes.* Providing cost plan reports and variance analysis.- Value Engineering* Participating in value engineering workshops with design team and client’s representatives to propose and analyze alternatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value optimization.- Vendors Management* Evaluating technical prequalification of vendors and specialists of different systems.* Preparing and maintaining recommended approved vendors list, according to project conditions and budget requirements.- Tendering* Assisting in preparation of Issued for Tender documents.* Contributing to preparation of RFP and Scope of Works.
