Isobel Varney is a Support Officer at WWF-UK. This was apparent during my first four months in my new role as Promise Zone Coordinator as she supported knowledge transfer to provide a continued level of support to the Promise Zone Initiative. Isobel convened several working groups with around 20 different community-based organizations and City and County departments toward a shared mission. Her skill in crafting meeting agendas, coordinating speakers, and producing minutes has been instrumental in supporting the group's objectives outlined in the Strategic Plan. She also played a pivotal role in cultivating relationships with community leaders, expanding stakeholder engagement, and fostering collaboration among partners. Furthermore, Isobel's proactive approach to grant research and preparing Letters of Support bolstered partners' opportunities for submitting applications for federal, state, and city grants was an invaluable asset to the program. Isobel also took the initiative to learn data management and synthesize U.S. Census data and supported internal and external communications, including Newsletter and website updates. Her ability to effectively convey the Promise Zone's initiatives to a wider audience highlights her strong communication skills and enthusiasm. In sum, Isobel's commitment to making an impact, her positive attitude and her diverse skill set, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, database administration, program coordination, and administration, make her an invaluable asset to any organization."
