Motivated scientist passionate about working hand-in-hand within a cross-functional team in order to promote an inclusive environment that allows science and scientific careers to flourish.Throughout my course I have gained a multitude of transferrable skills applicable to all areas of scientific work such as the ability to interpret scientific results, thinking outside of the box to find solutions to difficult problems and analytical skills by means of working with analytical techniques and instrumentation including HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR. I am currently conducting a research project looking at the detection of trace DNA on porous and non-porous surfaces using a fluorescent dye which has allowed me to develop my time management skills, adaptability as well as proficiency in laboratory equipment.
