Designing clothing is the best career I can imagine. I get to share my creative and technical sides and create garments that protect people in their activities, ensuring they can do what they love for a very long time. I’ve been fortunate to learn the manufacturing side of this profession which makes me a valuable asset to any company. I can literally take an idea from pattern-making to manufacturing. Because of this, I am an industry expert and take pride in my ability to communicate with manufacturing facility managers as an educated contributor to the process. I’m passionate about building teams and creating an environment of equality and open-mindedness that leads to serious accomplishment while maintaining a level of fun and enjoyment in everything I do. My teams would say I’m always ready to hear a new idea and that I provide a culture of acceptance and equality. I want to see my team members as happy in their careers as I am in mine. Let’s face it – fashion changes fast. My excitement in all aspects of design make it easy for me to adapt to rapidly-changing work environments, while maintaining my workload and meeting deadlines. I have the ability to recognize areas of improvement and brainstorm solutions that other may not readily see. My value to the company is apparent in my experience in design, manufacturing, and meeting corporate expectations.
