• Working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders in order to identify and coordinate engagement opportunities to support the faculty engagement strategy; recognising the importance of working.

• Delivering the ‘Research & Innovation Matters’ public engagement programme
• Coordinating Voice North, an organisation based at Newcastle University which aims to capture the vast experience and ideas of the public for research benefit.
• Managing the internal and external PPI/E communications including the social media accounts. I also lead the faculty engagement forum which provides an opportunity for shared learning, challenges and best practice.
• Designing & coordinating a PPI/E training programme for University staff & postgraduate researchers

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to the engagement team
• Organising public engagement events; booking venues, speakers, AV services and travel arrangements.
• Developing and maintaining the team’s communication strategy including press and social media activity. Researching and collating content, as well as managing online platforms and social media profiles.
• Delivering a range of customer services to multiple engagement networks
• Organise, chair and facilitating engagement meetings and workshops; supporting academics to involve patients and members of the public in their research
• Supporting financial management of the team accounts, including monitoring expenditure against budgets, processing orders and invoices, and producing reports using SAP.
