My role involves providing clinical support within the English-Speaking Africa (ESA) region, but more specifically (and not limited to):--Clinical Education to Healthcare providers of different cadres within the ESA region, particularly in the areas of Diagnostic Cardiology, Maternal-Infant Care & patient Monitoring Solutions, with support for other modalities within the Life Care Solutions portfolio. This involves facilitating evidence-based practice and supporting the customer experience and commercial teams from pre-sale through post-sales follow-ups & trainings.-Providing technical and clinical leadership during the entire sales process (pre- and post- sales) by demonstrating full range of product features and their clinical values, including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed-Customer training in professional conferences and trade-shows-Provide ongoing post-installation training and support as needed, i.e supporting existing customers with additional training as needed or as product enhancements are launched that require additional training or implementations-Partnering with the commercial teams in assessing the needs of customers and in providing training programs at customer facilities for physicians, hospital personnel and other staff; etc.- Product and Applications training to channel partners on the Life Care Solutions (LCS) range of products.

Kenya

Working with Surgipharm Limited in Product launch & management of B BRAUN Vascular Systems - focusing on innovative medical devices in interventional cardiology and vascular surgery - including the launch of the first Drug-coated Coronary Balloon Catheter into the Kenyan market, sales support for promotion to key opinion leaders, organization of workshops and symposia.Specialties:Medical Devices dedicated to interventional cardiology (PTCA balloons, drug-eluting coronary balloons, drug-eluting stents, peripheral stents, etc ), vascular surgery.Marketing responsibilities for B. BRAUN range for core business products in Interventional Cardiology : PTCA balloons, Coronary Stents, PTCA Guiding catheters, PTCA Guidewires.- Team work with Stent and Cardiology team (Interventional cardiologist, Cath Lab staff/technicians, Hospital Procurement) to leverage synergies in business opportunities.- Education program for CathLab nurses, technicians and cardiologists: Product training, workshops on site, symposia, CMEs.

The Nairobi Hospital, Doctors' Plaza

-Fulfilled the role of Clinic in-charge, with responsibility to supervise clinic staff,-Coordinating services, treatments and consultations, and liaising with various insurance companies on the same.-Triaging patients,-Conducting 12-Lead Electrocardiograms (ECGs),Fixing Holter monitors and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor (ABPM), -Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support on patients requiring this kind of care-Assisting the doctors in such procedures as Echocardiograms, Cardiac Stress Tests, Endo-Venous Laser Therapy (EVLT) and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) in treatment of varicose veins and venous insufficiency; Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) therapy, Fibrofoam Injection Sclerotherapy (of varicose veins), Head-up Table Tilt Test (HUTT), etc-Assisting the cardiologists in pacemaker interrogation/programming in patients needing this kind of care.-Prepared medical reports after full evaluation of the patients.-General nursing care.-Played a major role in staff training and development by introducing and coordinating monthly Continuous Medical Education programs.

-Clerking of patients and prescribing drugs, -Taking pap-smear samples for cytology,-Taking Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) smear samples for cytology, -Performing such tests as Rapid Malaria Tests, Urinalysis, Widal test, Pregnancy Test, VDRL, HIV Tests and Blood Grouping; -Stitching/dressing of wounds, dental assistance (occasionally),-Dispensed drugs to clients at the pharmacy.General nursing care.

Worked on attachment at the Meridian Equator Hospital (Nairobi Equator Hospital then) during the PEV period while awaiting campus reopening.Played the following roles: -Receiving referrals and triaging them at the casualty clinic-Providing immunization services to children under 5years at the MCH clinic-Isolating sick children at the MCH clinic for doctor’s review.-Gave health talks to mothers with children under 5 years old.-Helped in running the TB clinic using the KAPTLD protocol-General nursing care
