About Naziol S. Nazarinia Scott
Naz is currently the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal at HireVue, an global HR-technology company deeply rooted in science, AI, and data analysis. She oversees all aspects of the legal function and is responsible for establishing HireVue's regulatory policy program. Under her leadership, this initiative resulted in HireVue's noteworthy participation in the White House AI Bill of Rights and its testimony on New York City's pioneering AI in hiring law as well as ongoing engagement with law and policy-makers on a wide range of AI-related topics.Prior to joining HireVue, Naz served in legal roles at NetDocuments and Instructure where she gained experience navigating complex legal matters encompassing data privacy, contracting, regulatory compliance, and product advising. Naz is a graduate of the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law where she served as a fellow at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Center. Naz has been published in the University of Denver Sports and Entertainment Law Journal discussing copyright termination rights. Prior to law school, Naz worked in the marketing, broadcast and events industries. In addition to her professional contributions, Naz is an active member on the Board of the Women Lawyers of Utah and a member of the Mount Olympus Community Council for Millcreek City.
