Project: Construction of Te Kaha - Canterbury's Multi-Use ArenaDuring my tenure as a Construction Cadet with Besix Watpac, I had the distinct opportunity to immerse myself in New Zealand's construction industry through direct involvement in the construction of Te Kaha - Canterbury's Multi-Use Arena, one of Christchurch's significant infrastructure projects.Key Achievements:- Deep Dive into the Construction Industry: Gained comprehensive exposure to New Zealand's construction landscape, broadening my understanding of local construction methodologies, materials, and regulations.Responsibilities:- Quality Assurance (QA): Actively involved in Quality Assurance processes, ensuring that all works met the required standards. Specifically, undertook initiatives to identify concrete defects and measure the conformity of metal structures against their design dimensions.- Planning: Participated in planning sessions, contributing to project milestones and ensuring timely deliveries.- Progress Reporting: Regularly compiled and presented progress reports, detailing project updates, potential challenges, and solutions to ensure stakeholders were well-informed.- Subcontractor Management: Liaised with multiple subcontractors, streamlining communication and ensuring tasks were executed as per the set standards and timelines.- Health and Safety Monitoring: Regularly monitored health and safety measures on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all stakeholders. Participated in safety drills and was actively involved in creating awareness among team members about the importance of safety.

(NER Airport, BGN Airport, KDY Airport, Sangar Airport, VYI Airport)Achievements:- Created guidelines (internal regulatory documents) that establish procedures for reviewing completed work, generating calendar network plans, and implementing reporting monitoring formats for construction projects.- Implemented and tested new software for constructing construction schedules that are aligned with cost estimation documentation. This enabled timely contract negotiations for 6 projects.
