External Evaluator of project proposals related to Key Action 2 (KA2) of the EU Erasmus+ Programme

• Working in the "DIRECTORATE FOR PROGRAMMES AND PROJECTS OF THE EU - UNIT FOR PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF R&D AND INNOVATION PROGRAMMES"• Participation in the revision of programme and strategic documents (Smart Specialization Strategy, Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020)• Development and modification of state aid programmes and small value aid programmes in accordance with EU regulations• Preparation and modification of the Calls for Proposals for assigning grants intended for the business sector (big firms, SMEs and startups) and its R&D and Innovation activities• Participation in development of assessment/evaluation methodology for project applications• Clarification and interpretation of the rules of the Calls for Proposals to interested applicants• Organization of info workshops for Calls for Proposals• Participation in the event "Regional Days of EU Funds" as a lecturer• Participation in the work of the project selection/assessment committees (assessment of project applicants and their project applications)• Everyday use of IT Systems related to EU funds and state aid• Administrative affairs for the Cabinet of Minister• Preparation of public procurement documentation and implementation of procurement process• Communication with and consultation of potential beneficiaries of EU funds

• Working in the "ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT FOR MANAGEMENT OF STRUCTURAL INSTRUMENTS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION - DEFCO"• Participation in the preparation of the Calls for Proposals ensuring their compliance with national laws and EU regulations• Participation in the development of DEFCO internal regulations and procedures• Cooperation with the Head of the Department in the design and implementation of workshops for grant beneficiaries regarding grant schemes• Participation in meetings with representatives of beneficiary institutions and institutions in the management and control system of EU funds in Croatia• Monitoring and control of project implementation (projects from various grant schemes from European Social Fund regarding vocational, adult, high school and university education, R&D activities of young scientists, teaching assistants for students with disabilities)• Control, review and approval of the progress reports and the final project implementation report submitted by grant beneficiaries• Financial control of reports and payment claims (eligibility review)• On-the-spot checks of grant beneficiaries and project progress• Analysis and approval of project modification requests submitted by grant beneficiaries (including modifications of grant contracts)• Control and review of public procurement carried out by the beneficiaries for the needs of the projects• Everyday communication with grant beneficiaries• Everyday use of IT Systems for monitoring and control of project implementation• Ensuring the audit trail of projects and communication with the audit authority• Various administrative tasks on request

• Supporting SMEs in planning and development of international business strategies aimed at internationalization of the companies and expansion into foreign markets• Assisting SMEs in planning, organizing and managing visits and participation as exhibitors at international fairs

• Project design, project proposal writing with budget preparation for local, municipal, national and EU Calls for Proposals for assigning grants• Advising clients from the public and private sector and informing them about the possibilities of using non-refundable financial resources from the local, municipal, national and EU funds • Keeping up to date with the Calls for Proposals for assigning grants and related regulations on a local, municipal, national and EU level• Developing business plans for clients• Public Relations (organizing various public events, preparing media announcements, press clipping, developing lists of various media, adapting press releases)
