Exterior Lighting Supervisor

General:Responsible for Health & Safety procedures and Requirements within the Exterior Lighting groupResponsible to establish and request facility needs for Ford of Mexico Exterior LightingResponsible to deliver YoY objectivesResponsible to deliver resource plans in line with tasksResponsible to meet deployed budget (headcount, travel, ED&T, training, etc.)Responsible for efficient people management (base heads, agency & suppliers)Responsible to develop and maintain a competent, highly motivated and customer driven teamFollows and applies ISO 5 Pillars of QualityJob specific:Supervises the team to ensure the development of component designs meet all relevant Requirements in line with the latest Product Letters for:Cost - weight - quality - attribute performance/ appearance - manufacturing feasibility requirements - legal and corporate needs according to the Program Delivery timing standardsLeads requests for updates for specifications or test methods where applicable, initiates deviations where required Ensures BOM inputs are in line with with PPR demands and requirementsEnsures proper release of part numbers.Ensures testing sign-off is completeSupports benchmarking eventsLeads competitor vehicle studies and identification of any kind of improvement opportunities for Exterior Lighting (cost, weight, performance, appearance etc.)Supervises cross-functional team agreementsEscalates any issues which prevent a timely execution of deliverables at each milestone through the Body Engineering escalation processEnsures that lessons learned actions (stop ship, prevent recurrence, major issues, etc.) are applied to new programs and tracked in our central Body Engineering documentation.
