About Ivan Henderson
I am an industrial engineer with experience in PI & CI projects, statistical analysis, ERP project and data management, time study design and analysis, in addition to economic savings analysis and reporting. My particular experience with JD Edwards MRP implementation includes project presentation and training, simulation design and testing, data collection, implementation, and troubleshooting. Other forms of project experience include capacity planning, continuous improvement events, and kaizen event facilitation. My role throughout these projects has ranged from program developer, event facilitator, data collector or analyzer, and subject matter expert. Combined with my communication skills with production leads and operators to discuss, address, and resolve production, machine, and quality issues differs from that of typical industrial engineers. My short but intensive experience with designing, analyzing, and compiling time studies and the resulting information offers a thorough skillset by which I approach my work. This ensures my presented information is concise and backed by a thorough understanding of the items at hand whether it be heavy machinery, a production process, or information from a database. Aside from my experiences in industry I take a serious role in serving the STEM community through professional engineering organizations within the SC Lowcountry. This experience with a variety of mentors, engineering disciplines, perspectives, and events ensures that my skills are developed within the broader STEM community that includes educators, engineers, and business professionals. My work with these organizations includes program design and development, event organization and facilitation, and logistics management. Additionally, I have multiple engineering and industry mentors I rely on to develop my professional, personal, and social skills through these various organizations. They serve as the backbone for my growth outside of my formal and hands-on education, experience, and skills.Outside of my professional life I enjoy reading, running, community service activities, ping pong, and podcasts. I am also engaged in early-stage business ventures in the content and product development industry and look forward to seeing them develop over the next 5-10 years.
