Part of the Service Desk team, providing technical support to ~2000 employees across the company (located in various branch offices across the US). Day to day tasks consist of managing user accounts for onboarding & offboarding employees, troubleshooting user issues with internal SQL database application/interface, installing & troubleshooting software, running SQL scripts to perform processes against SQL database. Also create documentation in Confluence to build up our internal IT Service Desk knowledge base. Use of Jira ticketing system to track and manage tickets.

May serve as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures. May train and/or develop materials for end-user training supported software applications; may be responsible for the development of technical training modules for County departments. Responsible for the management, distribution, and troubleshooting for County devices such as laptops, desktops, County issued cell phones, printers, etc.

Originally hired by GE, I managed the Engineering Lab on an Interim basis (first 2 years), supporting cross-functional engineering teams including Systems, Software and Verification & Validation. I also served as the IT liaison/POC for lab network connectivity & support. Provide Level 2 deskside support of PCs and laptops to employees at General Electric (GE) Transportation & Energy in Melbourne, FL (machines leased through CompuCom). Per SLA Agreement, supported Dell, Lenovo, HP and Apple Mac hardware platforms (achieved Dell, HP and Lenovo certifications during my tenure in this position). Supported Windows 7- and MacOS- based machines. Perform warranty repairs, PC imaging, and PC refreshes including data migration. Performed data recovery. Document incidents/resolutions in Service Now ticketing system. Coordinate shipments of out-of-warranty machines back to CompuCom. Update Asset Management database with information such as work order closures and machine assignments. Occasionally support the local GE Transportation IT Team with Ethernet port activations and Ethernet punch downs.

Under strict HIPAA regulations, apply Information Security safeguards and provide desktop & network support to employees at local site (Florida Dep. of Health - Children’s Medical Services in Viera, FL), as well as 3 remote sites in the Viera/Melbourne, FL area via onsite, telephone and remote access. Perform PC and laptop imaging and configurations, secure laptops with hard drive encryption using TrueCrypt software, configure VPN on laptops for remote access to the Florida DOH network. Create user domain accounts in Active Directory and assign access and permissions to various network resources. Set up Exchange email accounts, send requests to Certificate Authority (CA) to obtain encryption certificates for employees to use when sending emails via Outlook which contain sensitive data. Participated in annual Risk Assessments/Business Continuity Plans.
