The purpose of this report, was to determine the design loads for the conditions corresponding to a certifying sea trial, before a prototype of a new pneumatic system was made.The structure of MCP-rafts was explained and converted into scale models in 1:30 through Froude’s Model law, which then is used to testing. An approximate scale model of the pneumatic mooring system (bowsingsystem), was found and tested with the MCP models. The models were then compared to previously observed scenarios from sea trials.The different forces in the bowsingsystem were analysed depending on various scenarios from; the number of inflated rafts, rafts with different ballasts, the distance between the two hoists, hoists in different heights, the ship’s position in the waves, the rafts movements, the effect of different rigidities in the bowsingsystem, and how the forces in the bowsing lines were affect by waves.
