Hello, my name is Ivan, I am a Senior Data Analyst: my competences cover the roles of Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer and BI Analyst/Engineer and foray a bit into the areas of Data Engineering and Data Science.I am a self-sufficient agent who excels in end-to-end implementation: discussing the business problem with stakeholders, formulating it in data terms, communicating the limitations and the ways to circumvent them, finding and testing the relevant data, writing models, and creating the deliverable, be it an answer, a report, or a dashboard.Yet I am also good at communicating, collaborating, managing a team, mentoring, and providing support (both professional and personal).Basically, if you give me a lever (Data Engineer) and a place to stand (data warehouse), I can move the world (or at least your analytics — and with that your company — and with that… well, the world) while creating atmosphere of enthusiasm.Even though I cannot be considered aspiring due to having achieved Seniority in (only!) 2 years of work, I am still passionate about my career: I do love being Data Analyst (and could not stop being one even if I wanted).My main spheres of interest are Applied Mathematics (mainly Game Theory and Data Analysis and also fields of Operations Research and Statistics like Mathematical and Simulation Modelling, Queuing Theory, Graph Theory, Inventory Control, and to a lesser degree Machine Learning), Psychology, and Theology. I am also interested in Philosophy, Literature, History, Econom(etr)ics — mostly insofar as those concern the previous three. Despite having vast amount of interests and the fact that I changed the sphere at every step of my education, I am extremely thorough and always strive to do the work in a way that will make me proud of it.I am native speaker of Russian, bilingually proficient in English and learning German. For better or for worse, my brain does not really have a downtime, so in free time I write essays trying to perfect my use of words — not writing too long sentences, for example, but you can see how's that going — and flesh out what I believe in and understand (or want to know) about the world.I do strongly believe that it would be great if people flourished and that the best way to achieve this is setting the highest conceivable good as the goal and moving towards it while paying attention to the progress (or lack thereof).The former one is on you (imposing it does not work), but I can certainly help with the latter and do so in the most efficient way possible — via harnessing insights from data.
