Under the guidance of Dr. Ng Hui Khoon, I was responsible for the following tasks: - Investigated the entangling capabilities of Hermitian local Hamiltonians on a two-qubit system to optimize quantum entanglement;- Designed and tested optimisation models based on the Nelder-Mead and Particle Swarm Optimisation method in Matlab to investigate the entangling capabilities of different local Hermitian operators for a two qubit system;- Implemented computational models based on the Nelder-Mead optimisation model in Matlab to approximate the effect of various types of local and non-local Hermitian operators; and- Analyse data generated from the optimisation model using Microsoft Excel and performed clustering analysis using Scikit-learn, leading to better understanding of the structure of the multidimensional search space.
