Leading community engagement on a landmark infrastructure project situated within a densely populated residential and business area. I manage ongoing collaboration with Infrastructure NSW and community stakeholders through a Community Consultative Committee (CCC), which I oversee.

In my role as the Stakeholder Engagement Officer for the Western Sydney International Airport Terminal construction, I am tasked with overseeing both the internal and external communications of the project, as well as engaging with the community. This plays a crucial role in executing the comprehensive communication strategy, in close collaboration with the client, project, and marketing teams.

I was a sitting Board member of NSW SLASA (Voluntary) from 2020 and was honoured to be appointed as President for 2023. Due to professional commitments, I recused myself from the Board at the end of my Presidency.Since its inception in 1978, NSW SLASA was dedicated to serving multicultural communities. Originally established as an ethnic-specific organisation catering primarily to Spanish-speaking communities, SLASA evolved to provide its services to a diverse range of people and communities, in response to changing patterns of migration.

In this role I directly support the engagement of external stakeholders across the ACT, NSW and Tasmania to support expanded delivery of career related programs and activities under the Growing Careers Project, which has been made possible by recent Federal Government funding. I am tasked with sourcing and maintaining active working relationships with external supporters to deliver career programs and activities to 76,000 young people over the next 4 years. The role requires experience and knowledge of career learning activities; extensive stakeholder engagement; strong internal working relationships and excellent project and event management skills along with program implementation science.

Saver Plus is a multifaceted program with key deliverables to improve participant’s financial wellbeing. Identifying, building on-going engagement with stakeholders is key across the Education sectors (primary, secondary, tertiary), Corporate Partners, local businesses, and community organisations. Evidence based evaluations conducted by RMIT University show that this program continues to change the confidence, financial stability, and resilience of its participants.During a 3 month secondment within the Saver Plus program, I was appointed as Acting National Program Manager overseeing 6-month Performance Reviews with staff so that they may achieve their performance goals for the year further to general staff supervision and program management.

Around the Bloc, was a Western Sydney Wanderers supporters podcast broadcast weekly. My duties included organising and conducting interviews, producing media releases, liaising with the Western Sydney Wanderers club staff, discussing and analysing football matches, off-field incidents and other related talking points.As part of this role I have appeared on many local Sydney Radio Stations, media related pieces for the Football Federation Australia, Western Sydney Wanderers social media and match-day magazine, along with featuring on an ABC's 730 report.http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2014/s4118428.htm

I provided full match Spanish language football commentary, bilingual journalism and ad hoc Spanish language related work.

The role of the Pathway Advisor within the Australian Governments Adult Migrant English Program (510 hours of English) is to support students in their career development. This was achieved by one-on-one interviews with students to create detailed plans, advocacy to create systemic change and fostering partnerships with tertiary institutions.

At this small Social Enterprise which was born at the Benevolent Society before going independent I led business development in and around South-West Sydney, coordinated various projects and developed in-kind contributions for the Enterprises delivery. I was also one of two Lead Guides and I served as a voluntary Board Member in its first year as an Incorporated Association before stepping down for the appointment of its full-time Board.

As one of the lead guides for Taste Food Tours I was responsible for the development, management and implementation of tours in the Fairfield area. One of my main tasks was to broker partnerships with local businesses whilst building and maintaining those relationships on an on-going basis. Furthermore, I am responsible for budgeting, scoping and designing these tours. As Lead Guide I have provided on the job training along with formal training and induction sessions for new guides.

This Incorporated Association based in Fairfield, NSW sought to bridge generational, linguistic and cultural gaps between the ageing Uruguayan community in Sydney and their younger first and second generations. The aim was to use the popular Uruguayan art form of murga (a type of musical-theatre troupe with a rich history in the Australian-Uruguayan diaspora) which fuses spoken comedy, dance, music and song to improve Spanish diction of the younger generations while fostering a common meeting place for all. Each year there was engagement of over 1000 community members and even a Melbourne Tour in 2012.

After only three months with CCA on their Red Cross campaign, I was promoted to a brand new team. Our team consisted of only three members and we were hand picked by upper management from a pool of over 500 existing employees. My main role here was to create business opportunities for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals representatives by promoting the Pfizer brand and products to medical practitioners. Here I had to work in a fast paced environment with high KPI demands and there was a strong focus on using various Customer Relationship Management platforms including Salesforce.

I was responsible in maintaining relationships with previous supporters whilst securing new contributors, educating potential supporters on the work and struggles of the charity and building rapport. In this position I exceeded sales and efficiency targets and achieved the highest amount of monies raised in one day for the Australia Red Cross in all of Australia. Simultaneously I handled potential supporter objections and capturing supporter data.

For over 10 years I worked in the family business as a tiler, labourer, bookkeeper, administrative assistant, accounts manager and otherwise as needed.

In this call centre position I ensured potential customers were provided with reliable and accurate advice regarding the current Telstra offers, products and policies. A major part of my last 6 months in the position was to supervise the call centre floor and resolve complaints and/or unresolved disputes. This position was offered to me due to my skills in managing the expectations of customers and the ability to reach an agreed resolution. Furthermore, I was a key team member in identifying problem areas and developing individual and team strategies to engage co-workers to help them meet their targets. I constantly exceeded team and individual targets in the areas of sales and customer service.
