CrossPath aimed to create a transportation alternative that blended all of the freedom of driving yourself, with all of the benefits of carpooling. It did this by offering a real-time, location-based search engine that allowed you to find an acquaintance in your vicinity to share a ride to a common destination right now. CrossPath closed after failing to generate a critical mass of users around it's ridesharing solution.Ivan developed most of the software for this solution, which included a website, service-oriented backend, and an iPhone/iPad app that acted as a mobile client.

Responsible for defining family plans for Cyclone III and Stratix III family of devices. Performed extensive competitive analysis to determine key differentiating value propositions. Interviewed customers to uncover forward-looking product requirements in the 3-6 year time frame. Built extensive customer designs database to assist in quantifying customer utilization of existing features such as on-chip memory depth/width, IO standards, and maximum clock frequency requirements and settings.

Launched new Applications Engineering, Intellectual Property, and Competitive Analysis Benchmarking teams in Penang, Malaysia. Hired and trained local staff to take on increasing responsibility for new device rollouts, technical documentation, and software tools benchmarking. By the end of 2003, had grown headcount to greater than 20 with a replacement manager and two supervisors.

Responsible for direct customer support. Assist hardware design customers in the use of Altera's software design tools (Max+Plus II and Quartus II) and debugging of issues related to hardware implementation. (Signal integrity, device configuration, etc) Lead lab-based testing for new device rollouts of over 5 device families from MAX 5000 to Apex 20K. Train FAEs and customers on new device features and capabilities and perform hands-on tutorial training. Authored numerous technical documents ranging from device data sheets to applications white papers.

Co-founded Malaysia's leading retail smoothie operator - Freo Smoothie. Subsequently merged company in 2005 and is now Juiceworks. We operate twelve retail smoothie outlets in and around Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Remain actively involved as an investor and board member.
