I am supporting the Global R&D - CSO Transformation and Innovation (T&I) organization ongoing activities as well as their strategic activities.I am primarily responsible for the following activities:- Translate CSO guidance to coordinate and lead planning cycles including Budget, Forecast, and Strategic Plan.- Provide financial support to the T&I organizations and visibility on variances related to financials and headcount against plan.- Provide a meaningful financial picture based on needs of business with a focus on strategic project progress and outcomes. - Collaboratively support optimization strategy and propose efficiency actions and key performance indicators.- Support the ways of working as well as planning and variance analysis for spending activities.- Manage with the other functional FBPs to ensure the initiatives of the T&I team are translated to the P&L and clinical . - Actively participate in projects starting from the conception to support the design and execution, bringing Finance input.- Calculate prospective cost impacts related to projects and other activities and advise on other options when necessary.- Measure and monitor actual cost efficiencies and follow as projects progress, suggest directional corrections as necessary.- Translate operational objectives into financial impacts and scenarios.- Collaborate with other functional areas like Procurement to ensure optimal outcome for the organization.- Include savings within planning process / cost projections, ensuring business ownership and understanding.- Identify and raise awareness to risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions.
