After my third year of studies, I had taken a year off of school to work as a coop student with Dynaplas Ltd. which is a high precision injectino molding company based in Scarborough, Toronto. The position of Junior Manufacturing Engineering Coop was a very exciting and challenging experience for me the entire eight months. I worked with all the other departments of the company such as quality engineering, advanced engineering, and program management. I gained a lot of knowledge about how the manufacturing industry functioned as well as many hard and soft skills. I learned how to properly manage many projects and tasks from multiple supervisors while meeting deadlines, was familiarized with the process of manufacturing through APQP, PPAP, and lean manufacturing. I was exposed to additive manufacturing and how something so small can create a large positive impact on the overall chain of parts. I was exposed to many different suppliers for the injection molding industry as well as many automation companies which taught me the fundamentals on how industry 4.0 is slowly innovating manufacturing.

• Calculated table dimensions and structure to hold floor panels weighing 2000 lbs.• Designed 3-D prototype on Siemens NX to test and check calculations• Consulted with several machine shops on pricing of material and labor• Fabricated and assembled table in-shop by welding• Tested table and made necessary changes to ensure safety and performance
