Software Development Engineer @ Microsoft. Computer Engineering grad (5th year of a 5-year program) with experience in the Geospatial/Aerospace and Defense industry, Object Oriented Design, Low-level design, and Software Development in Linux and Windows, with .NET Framework (back-end to front-end, but mostly backend) and with Azure. Also a competitive programming enthusiast with experience in algorithm design and mentoring. Could spend an entire day solving an interesting but though challenge.Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez from Computer Engineering. My path has led me to love the Aerospace and Defense industry; I interned at an agency at the U.S. Department of Defense and later at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. After graduating, I found my first full-time role at Microsoft on the Maps and Geospatial team (formerly Bing Maps; most recently known for providing data to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020). Here I have worked towards improving the coverage, freshness, prioritization, and maintenance of Aerial/Satellite imagery, creating Demand-Freshness maps and metrics programmatically, building and improving web applications and RESTful APIs, and leveraging Microsoft's Azure capabilities for our services.
