Associate engineer in the systems research and technology transfer group. I perform tasks related to fluid dynamic simulation (CFD), technologies for thermal storage, thermal management in electronic/electrical equipment and renewable energy sources.

Hired by CAF I + D, I performed tasks related to railway clizatization, equipment cooling and train aerodynamics. These tasks involve performing CFD simulations and actively participating both in the commissioning stage of the HVAC system in the test hall and in the thermal comfort tests in the climatic chamber. Likewise, I carry out research tasks focused on the improvement of CFD models and their subsequent experimental validation. The CFD tool for daily use is Ansys-Fluent and eventually OpenFoam.

PhD in the field of aerodynamics and particularly in the study of turbulent flows. The doctorate aims to design and set up the new wind tunnel at the University of Mondragon. I made a six-month stay at the Laboratoire des Ecoulements Géophysiques et Industriels (LEGI) at the University of Grenoble (France), where I gained experience in wind tunnel testing, in the characterization of turbulent flows and in the post-process of the measured data. In addition, I am specialized in CFD modeling using tools such as ANSYS FLUENT and XFLOW.

Arrasate-Mondragon

Hired by the research team of high performance machining of Mondragon Unibertsitatea as a research assistant in part-time alternating work-study while pursuing superior engineering at the same university. I carried out tasks related to the thermo-mechanical FEM simulation of machining operations. In this period, I used simulation tools such as Abaqus, Deform3D and AdvantEdge and pre-processing software as HyperMesh and post-processing with Matlab. In 2011, I completed my master thesis where I developed a new manufacturing model for predicting the residual stresses generated in the machining process.
