As a Quality Engineer intern at Bosch Rexroth I was responsible for supporting quality assurance activities within the Purchasing Quality department by bridging quality activities between manufacturing and purchasing. I worked in a Six Sigma team on a continuous improvement project that involved all phases of the DMAIC cycle, managing workshops and coaching employees during the improvement project.The production process was mapped and statistical data was gathered to identify unreliable processes with quality variations. Quality issues were identified in the product/process and a widespread understanding of the source of variation was created. Analysis were done with the use of VSM, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA, C&E matrix, process map, SIPOC and Gemba-walks. The project results were then communicated when and how to manage the issue on the production line.
