Biointaxis is an academic spin-off focused on the development of a gene therapy for rare neurodegenerative disorders. Biointaxis lead product is a gene therapy product for Friedreich ataxia.

National and International Grants Co-IP funded programs on gene discovery and molecular mechanisms in neurodegenerative disorders. Design and implement biomedical research lines in the area of translational signaling on metabolic regulation and disease, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases. Supervise post-doctorate, master and doctorate level researchers. Direct master and Doctoral theses. Written publications and oral communications.

Contribute to the strategic plan for mid and long term professional reach and impact of the Journal of Molecular Histology. Final decision on the selection, manage content and quality of research reports to be published with the help of Associate editors and the editorial board of experts.- Recruited Editorial Board- 44% increase in citable items since 2020- Impact Factor increase by 13% in one year
