Threads by Sydney is an eCommerce business focusing on sourcing secondhand, sustainable, eco-friendly clothing and home decor. While I am the Co-Owner of the company, I mainly assist with social media management and marketing, monitor SEO and analytics, research target audiences and demographics, and coordinate with local markets for events.

Celebrity cake designer Lorie Burcham, along with husband Jason established Crumb de la Crumb Cake Company in 2004 in the coastal area of North Carolina. There, they worked hard at creating a name for themselves in the business of making beautiful and delicious cakes. They quickly became one of the top wedding/specialty cake companies in the area and had the privilege of working with brides from all across the country and with some of the areas most exclusive resorts. Although they loved the beach and the business they had on the coast, they soon decided that they wanted to expand by moving to a city where anything might be possible. With a huge consideration of the fact that the both of them are musically gifted, and would love a future surrounded by music as well as seeing Nashville as a perfect place to transplant their cake business, they uprooted in the midst of the recession and moved their family to Nashville. I handled executive assistant duties for the owners of Crumb de la Crumb, a catering and restaurant company. These duties included assisting with event and catering advancing for corporate and wedding events, digital marketing responsibilities including social media management and email marketing, and general receptionist responsibilities. From time to time, I assisted with the general operations of their restaurant, including inventory control, scheduling, payroll processing, and vendor invoicing.After the restaurant portion of the business closed, I continued working for Lorie with Crumb de la Crumb. I provided the same administrative duties as mentioned above with a stronger focus on advertising and promoting the business as a catering company and bakery. In addition to Crumb de la Crumb, Lorie started Your Occasional Chef - a personal chef experience for in-home and online cooking classes. I handled all social media marketing, email marketing, and sales.

I managed and coordinated monthly professional speaker events which were held locally and my responsibilities involved event promotion and marketing using the MailChimp platform as well as promoting through Eventbrite. I orchestrated logistics and travel for field studies involving high ranking supervisors and executives. It was also my responsibility to edit and compose Email Marketing through Daily and Weekly newsletters using MailChimp. Monthly, I would analyze data and prepare monthly reports reflecting email marketing impact.

In the Airbnb business, excellent customer service is a must. I addressed and resolved customer complaints empathetically and professionally while accurately documenting, researching and resolving the issues.

While working for TBHC Delivers, I provided high-level administrative support directly to CEO along with support to other executives of the leadership team. I coordinated the CEO’s frequent travel for multiple companies and managed the calendars for the CEO and other high-level executives. I prepared and reconciled expense reports for the CEO, CFO, Vice President of Human Resources, and Vice President of Marketing. I assisted with the coordination of company-wide events including travel arrangements. I planned and coordinated logistics and materials for board meetings, quarterly conferences and staff events. On top of my duties for TBHC Delivers, I performed administrative duties and coordinated all travel for Pedestal Foods – a secondary company belonging to CEO. I delegated and supervised tasks to the receptionist and supported our Sales and Operations Team during absences.

Clerical, secretarial duties including but not limited to faxing, filing, contacting employers and claimants for statements, determining the content of a claim to distribute to team members, and careful navigation through various government use only programs. Assist with training new employees and communicate effectively with team members in our home office and remote offices.
