Responsible for the Design, Setup, Operations, Managing and Support the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) on the company.Design phase: to manage external consultants to get aligned with internal IS and business needs; evaluation of the best Hardware Secure Modules (HSMs) to fit in our requirements, design of all security HSM and Certification Authorities (CAs) processes, including the "Key Ceremony". Setup (configuration): responsible for the complete setup and configuration of the 3 HSMs and all the initial 8 CAs based on Safenet Luna SA 4 HSM models and Microsoft Windows 2003 CA servers. Responsible for contracting and find a desirable external CA supplier to cross sign part of our hierarchy (Verizon, that in the meantime sold those services to DigiCert). Operations: responsible for all PKI operations: backups, disaster and recovery, upgrades including all HSM components firmware and software; performed all the OS migration from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2 and the planning from Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012; same on HSM level, migration plan (backup / restore) of keys from Luna SA 4 to Luna SA 5 (to be performed by mid of 2016, "Restore Key Ceremony"); CA template creation and establishment of all service workflows and operational processes. Managing: supporting business requirements and try to find solutions and tools (example Keyon) that match in the company policies (i.e.: compliance) as business requirements (interfaces). Lead the Service with the main task to help the integration and usage of digital certificates on several solutions / products and services, such as User Authentication, Files & Folders Encryption, Network Authentication, Document Signature, Code Signing, Encrypt Communication (e.g.: e-mails) and Signature (S/MIME).Support: providing support level 3 and 4 to business and IS personnel, including IS outsourcing companies providing services to ABB. Escalation focal point and bridge with PKI suppliers support (Safenet/Gemalto).

While performing my InfoSec role in the country I was managing the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) project. During the project phase I managed a core team of internal and external consultants to delivery the service as per requirements. With the first deliveries of the project I was invited to be the PKI Service Manager.

During this time I migrated all existing Netware file servers to Microsoft Windows Server shared folders; Plan and conclude the migration from Microsoft Windows NT 4 domain to the company global Active Directory forrest; setup and configure all Cisco switches (backbone and distribution) and some routers (between a couple of sites); perform CheckPoint firewall tunning (cleanup); install and configure Microsoft SMS, McAfee ePO, Websense, CA ArcSserve and setup almost (if not all) existing country servers (including the configuration of internal and external web servers, running over Lotus Domino and MS IIS). During this period I managed and deploy Windows NT 4 (server, terminal server and workstation editions) and Windows 2000 (server and professional editions).
