Having been educated in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, I possess the knowledge and skill set that offers great value. I’ve contributed to the business environment in unique capacities, granting me a clear understanding on the importance being customer oriented; a team player and results driven. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from New Jersey City University. My most recent work experience enabled me to take a deep dive into Accounts Payable responsibilities. As a temp I filled in where ever needed but I made the most impact when I was able get the accounting staff caught up on their Government Medicaid reimbursements. There was no reconciliation process in place so therefore, over payments occurred. I worked vigorously to align the account balances for 50 states to which the company is responsible for timely payment. Because I was able to give attention to this project, the over payments ceased and the company is currently on track. I also assumed responsibility for purchasing goods and services for 5 laboratories during periods of vacation time. These tasks required excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to problem solve, especially in the absence of the person who may have trained me to begin with. Throughout my career path, I’ve recognized just how rewarding it is to have a knack for taking initiative and always improving upon different skills. Mines were communication.
