Client (part-time): A large Financial Services institution that has undertaken a major transformation program to reduce the number of applications from ~7000 by 30 – 50% with Alfabet’s PlanningIT as the key software for Analytics.As a Business Architect, developed a comprehensive Application Rationalization methodology that included Top-down and Bottoms-up analysis of Application portfolios • Crafted an Application Portfolio definition with key strategic dimensions (Costs, Business Value, Risks, Technology Health etc) to be able to compare redundant applications • Identified around 25 key Indicators from the available 200+ Indicators in the Bank’s PlanningIT system to be included in the analysis. Aligned these indicators under the proposed strategic dimensions • Developed an approach to “Normalize the Indicators” and create a “Weighted Average Scores” for the Strategic dimensions. • Tested the proposed approach with real “Business Support Map” and the “raw indicators data” in the PlanningIT system.This framework was socialized with line-of-business Business-Architects and was refined based on their feedback. The final version of the requirements was handed over to the team lead for implementing it in PlanningIT software.

At Goldman Sachs, helped establish Business Process Re-Engineering group within its Technology-Infrastructure group. Identified and captured an incremental license and consulting revenue opportunity for VMware of ~$0.50 M* At a leading Financial services firm, assisted the senior executives in operationalizing a vCOE (Virtualization Center of Excellence) that will serve as a vehicle to industrialize Virtualization (servers, desktops etc) within the enterprise * Published an internal whitepaper on vCOE. Currently, leading an effort to develop a new point of view on how firms should adopt Cloud Computing.
