In this role I provide governance services to support the New Zealand Food Safety Advisory Board as well as support governance capability across New Zealand Food Safety. I work with paper authors to provide analysis and advice on connecting governance and strategy and support high quality and timely official correspondence and ministerial support.

This one month secondment was an opportunity to work in the Office of the Deputy Director-General New Zealand Food Safety. In this role I further strengthened my ability to work with Senior Leaders and Stakeholders.

In this role I supported the Ministry for Primary Industries' Senior Leadership Governance Committees, mainly focusing on the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Governance Committee. Other key parts of my role as Governance Adviser included:- crown entity monitoring, including board appointments and writing official correspondence;- stakeholder engagement across.
