As part of the DevOps team, I am responsible for the deployment, monitoring and documentation of the Poq Platform’s cloud infrastructure, as well as making decisions involving the current, and future architecture of the platform. This involves looking at how to minimise our existing technical debt, and how we can use new platforms and features to improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our services, while lowering cost, and improving automation. I work closely with the development teams to ensure that they have the tools they need to push new features as quickly and safely as possible, and to try and foster a devops culture throughout the organisation as a whole.Deployed and automated management of Azure services for the platform, such as Azure SQL Server, CosmosDB, App services, Function apps, and API Management using C#, powershell in azure runbooks, and Terraform.Maintained CI and CD Pipelines for deploying, testing and managing code on the Poq platform using Github and Azure Devops.Helped to design and implement the new platform microservice architecture, and plan the migration from the existing monolith application.
