As Head of Research & Evidence at the Humanitarian Leadership Academy at Save the Children I am responsible for the development and execution of the organisations research and evidence strategy and aligning our research and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) systems with the HLA's mission to localise crisis response and shift power in the sector. I work across a portfolio of complex, multi-stakeholder projects including our DEC (Disaster Emergency Committee) funded work in Ukraine and related to the Türkiye Syria earthquake response.

As a senior consultant I led global health projects for partners such as the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Population Services International (PSI), and USAID. Key Responsibilities and achievements• Deputy Team Leader, MLE Partnership for The Challenge Initiative (TCI)Spearheaded the strategic design and execution of the Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) strategy for a large-scale sexual reproductive health and rights initiative funded by Bayer and BMGF. Developed an M&E plan to evaluated TCI’s health systems service delivery across 180 cities in 10 countries using advanced methodologies, including quasi-experimental interrupted time series, process evaluation, and cost-efficiency analysis.• Deputy Team Leader, Adolescent 360 ‘Amplify’ with Population Services InternationalContributing to the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive research and learning agenda. By integrating human-centred design and adaptive programming, I co-led efforts to assess and enhance the impact of programs in Kenya, Nigeria, and Ethiopia.

Head of research for TEGA, an award-winning, girl‐operated mobile research methodology. This role included the hands-on establishment of TEGA networks in Nigeria, India, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi and the USA. I was instrumental in establishing Girl Effect’s research and learning agenda and also delivering research, evaluation and monitoring for external clients including DFID, Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, Nutrition International and Women Deliver.Key Projects, Responsibilities, and Achievements• Head of Research for multi-national, large-scale projects focused on human-centered, participatory, and peer-led methods, including "Hear and Voice" focussing on the lives of girls during the Covid-19 Pandemic. • Design and leadership a diverse range of projects utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in development and humanitarian settings, all youth led and co-created by peer researchers.• Managed stakeholder relationships and strategic partnerships with institutions like MIT and consortiums of organisations and multilaterals such as UNICEF, BRAC and Population Council. • Established TEGA networks in India, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, and Bangladesh, expanding the program's global reach.• Hired, trained, and managed a high-functioning global team of researchers across seven countries.• Developed and implemented a global evidence and learning agenda, fostering support for robust evidence within Girl Effect.• Created ethical and innovative data management systems and dashboards to enhance the management and analysis of research data.
