In my current role I work with business partners to understand and support management needs and cross functional dependencies. If you can isolate integrations between departments, you know where to emphasize resources. By working closely with other departments or organizations to understand their needs and goals, you understand where they are interdependent. From there align these needs with the product roadmap and ensure that all necessary changes are made in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, it has been my duty to identify and address any dependencies or conflicts that may arise between different departments or teams, in order to ensure that the product is delivered successfully.

In my last position with the real estate division I had a few rolesRED manages the real estate portfolio for any city department that does not have an independent real estate portfolio, also acting as landlord to these departments. As landlords we were responsible for all space planning and tenant improvement efforts of our tenants. This often included larger proprietary construction efforts, in which I managed and coordinated both the projects and the subject matter experts.The Public Information Officer (PIO)of any department plays a critical role as they are the means in which the Board of Supervisors (BOS) can communicate with that department. Our division had lost our PIO, and I stepped into acting as liaison between the BOS and the Real Estate Division. I would communicate the request of that Supervisor's Office to the Director of RED, and project managed the implementation of that solution.

In my primary role as the Bayview Community Aide I managed the Bayview Community Advisory Committee (CAC). In the days of the California Redevelopment Agency development projects private or public of a certain size and scope had to appear before the Bayview Project Area Committee (PAC) as a prerequisite to appearing before the San Francisco Planning Commission (CPC). The Bayview PAC is the predecessor of the Bayview CAC, which was charged to the Office of the City Administrator to manage after the California Redevelopment Agency was disbanded in 2012, by Governor Brown, under prop. 26 and 27. Prior to the project sponsor appearing before the CPC they were required to present their project to the community via the Bayview CAC.If the question was related to land use and development in District 10, I was the single source that held the answer.

Provided Administrative Support for the Bayview Community Advisory CommitteeCo-lead the effort to create a new Urban Agriculture program (To this day, the Urban Agriculture program is thriving and continues to serve the needs of the community).Coordinated the implementation of the “Twitter Tax Break.” The amendment to the tax code gave new companies incentives in the form of payroll tax breaks to relocate to the Mid-Market area. In return, companies would reinvest a portion of the savings back into the surrounding community, referred to as a Community Benefit Agreement (CBA). What the CBA did was governed by the Mid-Market Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), which was my first exposure to governing a public body.
