Originally from Scotland, I moved to Germany at the age of 19 after completion of my high school education, undertaking various work experiences, while learning German at the Volks hoch schule Münster NRW, and eventually completing a chef apprenticeship at the Claude Dornier Schule in southern Germany. Subsequently I worked as as head chef for several years before retuning to the UK to first work as a freelance chef and German translator, before returning to higher education, first through Dundee and Angus College, before gaining a scholarship at the University of st Andrews. I am now passionately perusing an integrated masters in geology (Mgeol), continuing a trend as a life long learner. Adtionally I have persued an internship with Andrews Survey in my penultimate year of study, which has offered me the opportunity to expand my programming skills through a self led project to devolp flexible R code for use in automated data extraction, analysis, and visualisation in offshore survey operations. I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills over the years both real world and academic, both home and abroad. I now seek to apply these to a new carrier within STEM and continue to learn.
