In 1994, Began the transition from a print legislative library to and electronic housed and searchable delivery system. In 1996, participated in a Government Printing Office (GPO) focus group advocating the electronic production and dissemination of federal legislative documents.Former Vice President and President of the Law Librarians Society of Washington D.C. Special Interest Section on Legislative Research.Taught a legislative research seminar at George Washington University's Legal Research Institute. Worked as Assistant Editor of the United States Government Manual, 1990/1991 edition. Assisted with review and editing of the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents. Reviewed and checked for "GPO Style" submissions from federal agencies to the Federal Register of notices and rules for publication. Researched and wrote the brief legislative histories that appear at the end of each new public law (slip law format).

Worked as a reporter, editor, writer, supervisor, and photographer. Designed the "lay out" of a five-page sports section of a daily newspaper and produced copy. Covered and wrote stories of local sporting events including Radford College, Virginia Tech, and four local high school sports programs. Wrote headlines, cut lines, and copy, sized photos and integrated national wire stories and photos. Reached out to coaches countywide for stories, developed trust and respect in the local community.
