Personal statementMy long-term goal is to become an Air Paramedic for mountain rescue. My short-term goal is to work on a ski field in either ski patrol or as a mechanic or rope access technician. During my membership with Search and Rescue (SAR), Ihave learned to work in a team, to navigate off tack, the importance of tracking skills and having theright outdoor equipment. I have recently passed my Diploma of Instruction and Guiding at Tai PoutiniPolytechnic which upskilled me with my hard skills as well as with my soft skills. I also volunteer withinWestland Cave SAR and Greymouth LandSAR where I have learnt lots of skills such as hazardidentification, rope rescue and the ability to stay calm in strenuous situations.Work history.
