Jacinta in her current position as Manager Student Retention and Transition at Victoria University has a leadership role in creating and managing transition programs and approaches to student retention. . As part of this responsibility she manages the university’s Higher Education Participation and Partnership (HEPP) Early University Pathways initiative where she works with secondary schools and the university faculties/colleges to build and support robust pathways for cohorts of Year 11 and Year 12 secondary school students encompassing co-enrolment in tertiary and secondary programs, early university credits, academic development and transition experiences. She also manages VU's Student Link which is the university's retention program. This program utilises student predictive analytics linked to both a peer to peer engagement strategy and university interventions to support students to remain engaged in their tertiary studies.
