An inquisitive mind and a passion for understanding how things work is what paved the path for me to become a mechanical engineer. Completing my 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬), from Swinburne University of Technology, laid the foundation for my academic journey. I am honored to have been recognized with the 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 and to serve as an 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑨𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒓 since September 2021. Beyond academics, I actively engaged in leadership roles, serving as the Chairperson for Swinburne - Overseas Christian Fellowship, participating in Swinburne's Emerging Leader program, and assuming the role of Head Prefect during my school tenure. These roles have shaped my ability to lead a team, problem-solving skills and working with people from different walks of life. Throughout university, I engaged in diverse projects that provided hands-on experience and allowed me to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. These projects developed my teamwork, and analytical skills. In addition, utilising various software/tools important to mechanical engineering, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, and ANSYS, improved my skillset significantly.Moreover, my roles as an F&B Assistant and a Piano Teacher have complemented me with transferable skills including effective communication, adaptability, and multitasking, which would add to my journey as a graduate mechanical engineer.I take great pride in my multifaceted background, continuous learning ethos, and my passion for innovation.Here are some of my 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:🏆 Achieved enhanced device assembly protection by identifying the most effective sealant method through a trial process, optimising the usual task of trialling and identifying sealant methods for device assembly.🏆 Conducted component testing in preparation for assembly, leveraging data analytics to identify trends and anomalies for continuous process improvement.🏆 Implemented an automated test rig with a linear actuator, stepper motor, and Arduino code, improving sensor testing efficiency.I get excited to hear about any new opportunities in Mechanical Engineering industry, feel free to reach out -> richardsjacinta00@gmail.com.
