Primary communications contact for Iowa outdoor track & field and women’s soccer. Secondary contact for wrestling. Current role is a full-time, temporary position (Aug. 2023 - Present). Previously spent three years with Hawkeye Athletics as a strategic communications student intern (Dec. 2020 - Aug. 2023).Experience in a range of unique college sports environments. Hawkeye Wrestling has earned 24 team national championships. Iowa track & field is a top-performing program in the Big Ten Conference and has a roster of over 100 student-athletes. The Iowa women’s soccer program has made history on multiple occasions since 2020, including earning the first Big Ten Tournament Championship and first NCAA Tournament victory in program history. Other strategic communications duties have included:• Assisting with football and men’s basketball media guides, broadcast notes and recaps. • Staffing the award-winning Paul W. Brechler Press Box on football game days. • Assisting on event days for numerous sports (baseball, volleyball, women’s basketball, etc.).As a communications contact, the primary duty is coordinating program interactions with the media, internal departments, the Big Ten Conference office, other schools and the general public. Responsible for statistics keeping, media coordination and social media on event days. Maintaining hawkeyesports.com, including rosters, schedules, statistics, event recaps and other releases. Producing media guides and event notes.Conducting, supervising and transcribing interviews. Building relationships with coaches, team staff, players and media. Writing online feature story content. Have acted as point-person for women’s soccer and men’s golf team social media accounts; now assisting in this area with wrestling and outdoor track & field. Staffed NCAA Tournament women’s basketball in Iowa City (2023 and 2024); hosted home golf tournaments, including the Calusa Cup, a premiere collegiate event.

“Timeout Coordinator” (T.O.C.) and “Official Stats” (O-Stats) for numerous Iowa Hawkeye home athletic events. Experience on headset for men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, volleyball and women's gymnastics events. Broadcasts included Big Ten Network, FS1, ESPN and ESPN U.

Sports videography, website management and social media for my high school alma mater, Iowa City High School. Produced video board and social media content for numerous sports teams. Video work featured at the University of Iowa's Kinnick Stadium for high school kickoff event in August 2022. Ran or assisted with numerous school social media accounts, ensuring coverage, graphics and video for various sports teams. Helped create and curate football team website. Promoted "Stronger Together" fundraiser which exceeded $500,000 goal for new student wellness center. Also operated Daktronics videoboards for sporting events.

Sports journalism: covered Iowa Hawkeye football and men’s basketball. Conducted, recorded and transcribed interviews with players and coaches. Wrote recaps and contributed to weekly columns published for a wide readership. Operated company social media (currently over 50,000 followers on Twitter), both during games and throughout the week. Traveled to road football games and covered media days.
