During this internship I was tasked to develop a prototype unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). This involved deploying a UGV control system using the Robotic Operating System (ROS) on embedded hardware (Nvidia Jetson TX1). This control system was based around a USB camera that used OpenCV to track AruCo Markers to navigate the UGV.Over the internship I learned to plan, design, assemble, test and troubleshoot a prototype UGV that was capable of autonomous navigation. This included gaining experience in ROS, Gazebo, C++ and AutoDesk Inventor.
