I spent six weeks in Kitengela, Kenya at the Brydges Center. The Brydges Center is an orphanage that doubles as a school. So the children who live there are orphans, but the center's mission is about giving them education in order to give the children all the tools they need to succeed. Once the children grow up, the center sends them off to high school and college, but it is always a home and a family for these children. I emailed the founder and director and flew to Africa by myself. During my time there I spent a lot of my time tutoring the children. I also created a video to help market and bring more awareness to the Brydges Center.

I spent my summer working as a Marketing Intern at Sally Beauty Holdings. I worked with both the ecommerce side as well with in house marketing. My main project, outside of smaller marketing projects, was to do an analysis on sales and coupon use. My findings helped the company and they use it today.
